Running The New Chicago Riverwalk

Last Sunday morning we had an editorial shoot at the new Chicago Riverwalk. I have done some work down by the river in the past but most of them were on the far east section. Honestly I never been to the far west side just prior to the assignment. I went down to the Riverwalk a few days prior to check the conditions and I was really surprised. Not only it was empty in the morning but it was clean and it was beautiful. If you would like to learn more about the new Chicago Riverwalk please visit the City of Chicago web page.

Jim Herman for Bolle Eyewear

Last week I went to West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie to be exact (50 miles North of West Palm Beach) to photograph Jim Herman for Bolle Eyewear. Shoot was scheduled at PGA Village on Thursday morning.

I can’t thank enough to PGA Village and its all workers for their help.

Endless Summer

It’s slowly getting real. Winter is upon us. Specially in Chicago this means sub zero temperatures until mid-April. Here are some of my favorites from 2016 Chicago Summer…

Slowly we are approaching to the end of 2016 season. I wanted to share some of the work I’ve done past year for different clients including Training Bible Coaching, Bishop Racing, Chicago Athlete Magazine. One of these projects was for Bishop Racing. A Chicago based coaching service for competitive Triathletes. While we wrapped the project late 2016 Summer, the planning and initial shoots started early 2015. And this is still not a 100% complete project as we keep updating the content regularly.

Most commercial projects involving Teams, Coaching or Sponsorships require year round updates for the changed roosters, sponsors or even equipment. Imagine you spend time and effort for an Advertising and 2 months down the road your partners/sponsors or the athletes in the images change. Those images would be useless. When we sit down and discuss the project these variables are always added to the plan.

2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Editorial images from 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. It was 29th running of Chicago Marathon and runners couldn’t wish for a better day. High 60s and sunny. I usually opt to skip race start even though I have clearance for the BP Bridge. Its just a logistic nightmare to move from the start line to the Loop before the lead runners arrive. So usually I wait on State Street for the lead runners and move West as the runners pass. This year wanted something different and I started on Columbus Bridge capturing Chicago River.
